CM Punk: Two-Night WrestleMania Is More Opportunity For People To Experience The Rare Air Of A WrestleMania Main Event

CM Punk is set to headline WrestleMania for the first time in his career when he takes on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Saturday.

Punk has often spoken about wanting to be in the main event of WrestleMania, and was emotional when Paul Heyman informed him of his dream coming true on WWE SmackDown.

Speaking to Sebastian Hackl of WWE Deutschland, Punk was asked about securing a main event spot.

"I'm excited. WrestleMania is two nights now. It's more opportunity for people to experience the rare air of a main event of WrestleMania. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are two guys that I helped get here to the main roster many many moons ago. It's exciting for me to see how long they've held it down and how far they've come from where they started. It's going to be special to show them that kind of like, daddy's back. CM Punk is back. You're still here and I'm still here [shows hands and different levels]."

The Shield (Rollins, Reigns, and Jon Moxley FKA Dean Ambrose) debuted at WWE Survivor Series 2012 to help Punk.

This will be Seth's second main event match and the second straight year he's headlined WrestleMania Saturday. Roman has competed in nine WrestleMania main events. WrestleMania 41 will be his tenth time on top.
