Cody Rhodes doesn't think The Rock is trying to mess with his story.
Since Cody Rhodes lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, many fans have assumed the two stars would clash again at WrestleMania 40. The surprise return of The Rock at WWE Raw: Day One complicated the picture, as he dropped a major tease for a dream match against Reigns.
In an interview with Mike Chiari of Bleacher Report, The Rock's promo came up in the conversation, and Rhodes emphasized that he did not think he was the kind of person who would come in and meddle with a story that has been years in the making.
"You mentioned 'The Great One' The Rock, nothing but respect for him. I went and saw 'Jungle Cruise,' I'm a Rock fan. I don't think he's the type that would come in and meddle with a story that's been being told over the past two years. I think he's probably up to something else, but you never know with WWE. I'll be watching just like everybody else when I'm not wrestling," Rhodes said.
