The Rock On 4/8 WWE Raw: I Have To Go Away For A While, I'm Coming For Cody Rhodes When I Get Back

The Rock isn't done with Cody Rhodes.

Triple H kicked off the April 8 episode of Raw by thanking fans for WrestleMania 40 and calling it the greatest WrestleMania ever. 'The Game' then introduced Cody Rhodes to a massive reaction. After he made his entrance, Triple H played a video package for Rhodes that highlighted his entire career in the world of wrestling.

Rhodes started off his promo by giving a shoutout to Samantha Irvin and asking her to announce him as the new Undisputed WWE Champion once again.

'The American Nightmare' then shifted focus to the goals that he set after returning to WWE in 2022 before also mentioning Roman Reigns and his 1,316 day reign as champion. Rhodes acknowledged the reign before calling him the greatest superstar of our generation.

Rhodes then played a video for the crowd of his daughter Liberty asking him to finish the story. Rhodes also noted that he no longer go to work as a challenger, as he now goes to work as a champion. Rhodes went on to also state that he's now went from undesirable to undeniable to now being undisputed.

Moments later, Rhodes was interrupted by The Rock, who congratulated Philadelphia for breaking the record for the largest gathering of trailer park trash ever recorded. Rock gave Rhodes his flowers for finishing his story and beating Roman Reigns. 'The Final Boss' also stated that Dusty Rhodes was smiling down on him at WrestleMania XL.

Rock then asked Rhodes to hold his championship belt. In response, Rhodes asked to hold Rock's title belt as well. After exchanging titles for a brief second, Rock stated that he has to leave again before noting that when he comes back, he'll come back for Cody Rhodes.

Rock finished his promo by noting that the story between himself and Rhodes has just begun, despite the fact that he finished his story with Roman Reigns. Rock also gave Rhodes a unknown object before asking him to never break his heart again.

At WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes made history, as he brought Roman Reigns' 1,316 day reign with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to an end. Throughout the match, John Cena, The Undertaker, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins made appearances. Learn more about that match here.
