Corey Graves: I Told Anyone That Would Listen, 'Let Me Talk For Bobby Lashley And Be His Manager'

Bobby Lashley has had a series of manager since return to WWE in 2018.

Lio Rush famously chanted "LASHLEY! LASHLEY! LASHLEY!" and encouraged the big man to hit his favorite pose. Lana was "married" to the man. Now, Lashley finds MVP by his side as the leader of The Hurt Business.

But Corey Graves?

"Somebody told me in the locker room a few months back at the Performance Center, Kofi came to me and said something about (Graves wanting me to be a badass)," Lashley said on WWE After The Bell.

Graves confirmed he was pushing for Lashley to be a badass and he was recommending himself as his mouthpiece.

"It was mid-pandemic. When we were doing shows at the Performance Center every week and Lashley was there, and I don't want to say floundering, but weren't necessarily doing what you wanted to be doing and in the spotlight. I told anyone who would listen, 'let me talk for Bobby Lashley. Let me be the manager and let Bobby beat people up.' It wasn't me, but hypothetically, I could have been managing the WWE Champion right now," said Graves.

Graves has been part of the commentary team for NXT, Raw, and SmackDown since being forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2014.

Lashley, with MVP by his side, capture the WWE Championship on Monday's Raw when he defeated The Miz.
