The 2022 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic has come to an end.
The seventh edition of the annual tournament began on January 18, with eight teams vying to hold the prestigious trophy. Not just that, but the winning team would earn themselves an NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity. After two rounds of action, defending champions MSK once again found themselves in the finals, this time against the upstart Creed Brothers of Diamond Mine.
The two teams had a hard-fought encounter with MSK controlling the majority of the bout. Unfortunately for them, Julius and Brutus proved more resilient than expected. The Creeds would eventually win the match after Julius scored the pinfall off of a big clothesline.
With their victory, The Creed Brothers will have a crack at Imperium's titles. They had previously faced the champions in a 6-Man Tag that also featured Roderick Strong and GUNTHER.
