"Cyborg" shares her thoughts on Ronda Rousey's move from the octagon to the squared circle.
Ahead of her fight tonight at UFC 222 against Yana Kunitskaya, the current UFC Women's Featherweight Champion, Cris "Cyborg" Justino, spoke with TMZ Sports about a number of topics. During the interview, Cyborg was asked to give her take on her former UFC comrade, Ronda Rousey, and Rousey's move to the WWE. Cyborg would state that she respects Ronda's decision, although it is robbing fans of the opportunity of seeing the two go at it in the octagon.
"I don’t have the opportunity to watch her" Cris says, "You know I hear about…. You know, I think she's doing what she likes to do. She’s acting, WWE, the fans-I hope they're accepting her there. You know she did a lot for the women of MMA and it was announced that she wants to change her career and she's gonna be with the WWE. You know, I have to respect that and she’s making the fans wait to have wishes for watching me and her one day. But now we can not see that, but maybe I can go to WWE and make one big fight there, but you know, its just not my goal. My goal is to continue to fight in the UFC you know, I really love my job."
Cyborg would then add that if Ronda Rousey did not fight her in MMA, she highly doubts that Ronda will agree to fight her in WWE. As noted above, the 19-1 Cris Cyborg will be in the main event of UFC 222, which we will have live coverage of here on Fightful.
