Daniel Bryan is willing to fight Mike Jackson.

CM Punk lost to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 on Saturday which caught the eye of both worlds of mixed-martial-arts and professional wrestling. Another former WWE Champion in Daniel Bryan has had an interest in MMA and has been training in the sport for years. On Brie Bella's live Instagram video, Daniel Bryan was asked if he could beat Jackson and Bryan replied with the following.

"I could beat him on the ground for sure," said Bryan. "If WWE would let me fight in UFC, maybe," he added.

Bryan's history with MMA includes his training at Xtreme Couture which was featured in a 2012 WWE video that can be seen at the top of this page. Bryan has also trained at the MMA Lab in Glendale Arizona with former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson. In Japan, Daniel Bryan roomed with Shinsuke Nakamura who has had MMA bouts and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida.

According to Bryan, he has trained MMA in some capacity since 2002 which was only a few years into his professional wrestling career.

Jackson responded to what Bryan said by telling FanSided MMA he would beat Bryan even worse than CM Punk. He implied he didn't go 100 percent against CM Punk but would give Bryan all of his effort. Jackson also tweeted at Bryan about what he would do to him.

“But if Daniel Bryan wants the smoke, just call me the chimney man because I’ve got the smoke,” said Jackson.

Bryan's comments can be heard in the video above which was uploaded by Pro Wrestling Sheet.
