Daniel Bryan Thinks He's Done Being A Full-Time Wrestler After Current Contract Is Up

Daniel Bryan is looking towards the future and potentially cutting back on his ring time.

Speaking on The Bellas Podcast, Bryan was discussing his relationship with his daughter Birdie and welcoming a second child into their family later this year. During the discussion, Bryan revealed that he isn't sure he wants to be a full-time wrestler once his wife Brie Bella gives birth to their second child.

"WWE has been great. They're going to give me six-week paternity leave, which so few places in the US do that. So I'll get to be home those first six weeks. After that, it's not long until my contract is up. We've been talking about what we do from there. To me, in my mind, it's almost like, I think I'm done being a full-time wrestler. I love being dad. I will always love wrestling and I will always want to do wrestling. But when I say 'always want to do wrestling,' that means maybe once a month or once every couple of months," said Bryan.

Brie is expected to give birth in late July or early August according to her father. Nikki is also pregnant with Artem Chigvintsev's baby and the due dates for the twins are roughly two weeks apart.

Bryan signed a new contract with WWE in 2018. He said on an episode of Total Bellas, which was taped in September/October 2018, that his contract is guaranteed for three years.
