Daniel Cormier Wants Brock Lesnar To Bring The WWE Universal Title Next Time They Meet Face-To-Face

Cormier wants that Universal Championship!

The 22-1-0 UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight double-champion Daniel Cormier continued standing at the top of the heavyweight division last night at UFC 230. The main event slot was reserved for Cormier defending his Heavyweight Championship against the now 21-6-0 Derrick Lewis. Cormier defeated Lewis in the second round via submission when he locked a rear naked choke on the power-puncher Lewis.

With only a slight bruise on his leg and a swollen eye, Cormier emerged victorious and is still a double-champion in UFC. After the bout was over Joe Rogan joined Cormier in the octagon for a post-fight interview and after showing respect to his opponent, Cormier focused his attention on WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and told Lesnar that he is coming for that WWE Title.

After the dust settled and things calmed down, Cormier did another interview backstage and further elaborated on what he said about Brock Lesnar. D.C. stated that as of right now he is focusing on being a double-champion in UFC and taking the Universal Championship from Brock. He ended his statement by telling Brock that the next time they meet, Brock shouldn't be rude and should bring the title that he won at WWE 'Crown Jewel' just two days ago.

“Uhh, I don’t know. Right now it's becoming the double-champ and the WWE Champ at the same time by beating Brock Lesnar. He just better bring that new belt he just won when he comes. Don’t come empty-handed Brock, it’s rude to come without a bottle of wine or actually a belt. Bring your belt." Cormier said.
