From 2015 to 2018, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors faced off in the NBA Finals on four consecutive occasions. At the time, the Cavaliers were led by Lebron James and a rotating cast of stars like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors were led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green.

At the time, many fans thought that the NBA was boring, citing that the outcome of the season was predictable.

While speaking to Yahoo Sports for a new interview, Daniel Garcia spoke about not wanting wrestling to be dominated by one company like the NBA was dominated by two teams just a little under a decade ago.

“It's like the NBA. When the Golden State Warriors had everybody, it wasn't as fun because there wasn't as much parity in the league. ... When multiple companies are hot and you have multiple hot people in each of these hot companies, it just makes wrestling better for the fans, it makes it better for the business, and it's just more fun for everybody involved.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Garcia spoke about wanting to keep the door open with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Learn more by clicking here.
