Daniel Garcia is exactly where he needs to be.
Garcia has often drawn comparisons to Bryan Danielson due to their technical wrestling expertise and even Danielson has said that he wanted Garcia in his group, should he ever start a stable.
Danielson is part of the Blackpool Combat Club with Wheeler Yuta and Jon Moxley while Garcia has linked up with Chris Jericho in the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Speaking to What Culture, Garcia commented on linking up with Jericho over Danielson.
"Every interview I saw of him [Danielson], he talked about how he wanted to be a in group with me, how he wanted to take me under his wing, then the Jericho thing came about and I wanted to learn how to be a sports entertainer. I didn't want to learn how to be a good wrestler because I'm already a good wrestler. Now, I need to become a great sports entertainer, that's what Chris Jericho is teaching me," he said. "People online, they kept saying, 'I want to see you team up with the greatest of all time,' they saw the interviews and saw people saying, 'Daniel Garcia needs to be in a group with the greatest of all time.' I did it and I teamed with Chris Jericho."
Garcia teamed with Jericho, and Jake Hager, on the April 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, picking up a victory over Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and Santana.
Garcia is set to face Kingston on the April 22 episode of AEW Rampage where everyone is banned from ringside.
