Dark Side of the Ring sees a viewership increase.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Dark Side of the Ring drew 137,000 viewers on Thursday, October 7. This number is up from last week, which drew 126,000 viewers.
Thursday's episode was entitled "Bikers, Bombs & Bedlam Johnny K9." Last Thursday's episode was titled "Blood & Wire: Onita's FMW" and focused on FMW and Atsushi Onita.
The October 7 episode scored a 0.05 (63,000 viewers) rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is up from the 0.04 rating (51,000 viewers) the show drew last Thursday.
The episode finished 116th on cable for the night.
The episode aired at 9 p.m. ET instead of its regular slot at 10 p.m. ET due to MLW Fightland airing at 10 p.m. ET.
Thursday's episode focused on Johnny K-9 (Ion Croitoru) who was a member of biker gang Satan's Choice. He was convicted of assault, trafficking cocaine and bombing a police station. He was arrested for the murder of lawyer Lynn Gilbank and her husband Fred in 2005, though the charges were dropped in 2006. He was arrested in 2009 for conspiracy to murder the Bacon Brothers. He pleaded guilty in July 2013 to conspiracy in exchange for a stay of proceedings on the murder charge.
