Ambrose wrestled his last match with WWE on Apr. 21, teaming with Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns to defeat Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre at a live event in Moline, Illinois.

Prior to joining WWE/FCW in 2011, Ambrose spent years on the Independent scene as Jon Moxley. He wrestled for promotions such as CZW, EVOLVE, Dragon Gate USA, IWA Mid-South, and more. He is a former FIP and CZW World Heavyweight Champion.

Ambrose reportedly made his decision to leave WWE back in January following the Royal Rumble. He was reportedly unhappy with his creative direction following his heel turn in October. WWE reportedly offered Ambrose a five-year deal with a downside of just over $1 million per year, but Ambrose turned the offer down.
