Deonna Purrazzo Talks IMPACT/NJPW Multiverse United 2, Says She'd Want To Face Mayu Iwatani Or KAIRI

Deonna Purrazzo has two names on her mind when it comes to Multiverse United 2.

After the first show's success, IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW recently announced that they would be collaborating for a second event, Multiverse United 2: For Whom The Bell Tolls. The event is set to emanate from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday, August 20.

Fans are already fantasy booking the show and pitting the top stars of IMPACT Wrestling against the top stars of New Japan Pro Wrestling. In a new interview with WrestleZone, Deonna Purrazzo name dropped both Mayu Iwatani and KAIRI as two names that she'd like to get in the ring with at the event.

“Obviously everybody wants to talk about Mercedes Mone, but Mercedes just lost the IWGP Women’s Championship to Mayu Iwatani. I’ve been in the ring with Mayu a handful of times in years past, and I would love to be able to revisit that, I think that would be very interesting. I’ve never been in the ring with KAIRI, that would be a cool first time ever match. There is a lot of great talent in STARDOM that are rising through the ranks that were kind of just young girls when I was there in 2017 and 2018, so trying to keep up with it and watch it regularly now, there’s a lot of young talent that could be interesting to wrestle.”

Purrazzo first talked about a match with either Mone or Iwatani at Multiverse United 2 in a exclusive interview with Fightful. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
