Deonna Purrazzo has big goals for 2022.
Purrazzo's 2022 is off to an up and down start, failing to recapture the IMPACT Knockouts Championship at IMPACT Hard To Kill against Mickie James, but winning the ROH Women's Championship on the subsequent episode of IMPACT.
Speaking on the Angle Podcast, Purrazzo discussed other goals she has in mind for 2022.
“It’s a new year, new goals. The tag team titles have eluded me and the digital media championship has eluded me. I would like to be a triple crown winner and get all the championships. Also, no championship is off limits for the women in IMPACT Wrestling, so that’s exciting too. I would absolutely love to reunite VXT and form a tag team with my best friend and see if we can win the Knockout’s Tag Team," she said.
With WWE opening "the forbidden door" and bringing back Knockouts Champion Mickie James to compete in the Royal Rumble, the potential for Purrazzo to have her dream match doesn't seem as farfetched.
“I think my dream opponent will forever be Trish Stratus. The fact that she came back and wrestle Charlotte a couple of years ago I was like holy crap this is cool is my dream actually possible. Since then, she’s definitely retired, but I think that will always be my dream match," she said.
Stratus has not wrestled since losing to Charlotte Flair at WWE SummerSlam 2019.
Purrazzo captured the ROH Women's Championship on Thursday, defeating Rok-C. If you missed anything from Thursday's IMPACT, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
