Donovan Dijak On Potentially Facing Keith Lee Again: Hopefully That Happens

Donovan Dijak wants to run it back with Keith Lee.

During his first run in NXT, Donovan Dijak and Keith Lee had several buzzworthy matches, including their clash at NXT TakeOver: Portland 2020. Lee signed with AEW in 2022, and Dijak recently entered free agency on June 28 after WWE opted not to renew his contract.

Speaking with SP3 on Tru Heel Heat Wrestling, Donovan Dijak expressed his excitement about competing on the independent scene and noted that there were plenty of competitors he was interested in wrestling. He brought up Keith Lee and stated that he hoped that they would have another match.

“There’s guys that I’ve wrestled before that I haven’t wrestled in seven years, I want to wrestle them again. There’s guys that I’ve never wrestled that I’d love to. I just the experience, and I love that I’m in a position now where it feels like I can do more of that than when I was with WWE. The reality with WWE is, you wrestle a lot of the same guys over and over and over again [laughs]. That’s just kind of the way that it boils down. There was a point in my career where Keith [Lee] and I were sick of wrestling each other. Now, we’re at the point where it’s like, we should probably main-event a pay-per-view with this in some capacity [laughs], so hopefully that happens, wherever that might happen," Dijak said.

SP3 highlighted Dijak's matches with Lee in PWG and noted that they were amazing together. Dijak replied by saying that he thought that he and Lee felt the same way.

Dijak recently said that Tony Khan has been made aware of his interest in AEW. Check out his comments here.
