On Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, Drew McIntyre surprised many fans when he hugged Cody Rhodes.
Even Cody was caught off guard.
On social media, Drew gave an explanation as to why he went in for the hug.

For those unaware, Cody has the American Nightmare logo tattooed on his neck.
In the promo, Drew said that Cody was about to screw things up by taking on more than he could with his injured neck. Drew said that he wanted to help Cody, and that he could be his friend.
Drew gave Cody a big piece of advice, telling Cody to watch as back as Kevin Owens attacked.
