Drew McIntyre Says He'll Be In WarGames, Aligned With Sheamus To Save Wrestling

Drew McIntyre comments on aligning with Sheamus.

McIntyre and Sheamus have been on opposite sides for the majority of their time together in WWE, delivering some of the hardest hitting matches in WWE when they've faced off. On last Friday's WWE SmackDown, they came together with McIntyre evening the odds as Sheamus, Ridge Holland, & Butch battled The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, & Solo Sikoa).

Speaking on The Rick and Cutter Show, McIntyre discussed aligning with Sheamus for a common goal.

"We've been around each other for 20 years now in wrestling and life and all the ups and downs. I don't think there's anything we've not seen together or done together. It's pretty cool to see his resurgence since Clash at the Castle and finally getting his flowers and respect for everything he's done and achieved and the quality matches he brings every single week. It's pretty cool to be back side by side with him on the TV show. Everyone knows Drew McIntyre and Sheamus are deadly together, but we might just turn on each other at any given time and start fighting each other. We're back on the same page just in time because somebody has to take down the Bloodline," he said.

After running down his history with the Reigns and the Bloodline and noting The Brawling Brutes' battles with the Bloodline, McIntyre conceded, "Finally, Sheamus and I had a little chat, got back on the same page and realized, 'what the hell are we doing fighting? We need to be fighting together not against each other. We need to save wrestling and save those world championships and get them off Roman.'"

At the end of the interview, McIntyre indicated that he would be part of the WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series.

"Everybody make sure to check out WarGames, I'm going to get in that thing," he said.

WWE has yet to confirm the men's WarGames match for WWE Survivor Series.
