AEW is loading up the card for AEW Rampage: Grand Slam.
As announced on the September 16 episode of AEW Rampage, Eddie Kingston challenged Sammy Guevara to a match at AEW Rampage: Grand Slam. He stated that he doesn't like him because he sees the former TNT Champion as a rotten person. Kingston said he doesn't respect Guevara, and he's going to beat the "piss" out of him.

Kingston and Guevara were seemingly set to face off at AEW All Out. But Kingston was suspended from AEW after he got into a physical confrontation with Guevara backstage. He wound up instead facing Tomohiro Ishii on the Zero Hour pre-show of the pay-per-view. Likewise, Guevara and Tay Melo defended the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship against Ortiz and Ruby Soho at AEW All Out: Zero Hour.
Plus, several top stars will compete in the the Golden Ticket Battle Royale. The winner of the contest will earn a shot at the AEW World Championship. In a backstage segment on the September 16 episode of the show, Hangman Page, the Dark Order, and RUSH were confirmed for the match. Penta Oscuro was also confirmed by an on-screen graphic.
Next week on #AEWRampage, the Grand Slam Golden Ticket Battle Royal will take place where one man will win a shot at the #AEW World Title! Seems like the entire locker room has their eyes on that Golden Ticket!

Elsewhere on the show, Jade Cargill will defend the TBS Championship against Diamanté. On Friday note, Cargill noted that she has run through everyone, so there's no one left for her to face. Diamanté interrupted her and challenged the champion to a match before she stated that she won't be coming alone.
Additionally, Ricky Starks will face Powerhouse Hobbs in a rematch from AEW All Out. Hobbs won the first round, so the former FTW Champion will aim to get revenge this time around.
"I will see you personally in New York City." No more talk, @starkmanjones has his target set on @TrueWillieHobbs.

In another heated grudge match, Brody King and Buddy Matthews of the House of Black will face Sting and Darby Allin and Sting in a No Disqualification match. Sting, Allin, and Miro defeated the House of Black at AEW All Out, but on Rampage, King threw down the challenge for a rematch. He stated that while the dup cut the head off the snake, there's still plenty of venom in its fangs.
The end of the go-home edition of Rampage set up a buzzworthy tag team match. Samoa Joe retained the ROH World Television Championship against Josh Woods. When Woods and Tony Nese attacked Joe after the match, TNT Champion Wardlow made the save. The broadcast team then confirmed a tag team match between the duos for next week.
Finally, Rey Fenix will battle Jungle Boy in a singles match.
