Edge Questions if Shinsuke Nakamura Will "Get There" In The WWE

Will Shinsuke Nakamura make it in WWE? Time will tell.

Edge recently talked about Shinsuke Nakamura's run so far in the WWE on the latest edition of the E&C Pod of Awesomeness, saying that while he's had some great matches, he questions if he'll be able to live up to that standard.

Rob Van Dam Comments On Whether A Wrestling Offseason Would Work

"It’s strange with Nakamura, man, because, like you’ve said, we’ve seen his matches with AJ [Styles] in New Japan and everything" he said. "With Randy [Orton], I’ve seen it. And with Sami [Zayn], I’ve seen it. But that match too, man, I really loved that match and after that, it’s like, anything else is going to be tough to live up to. I mean, maybe Nakamura will [get there]. Maybe. Who knows? It’s a different beast entirely. People can blame it on booking, this, that, or the other. I don’t know. I think it’s weird. It just goes to show how different places to wrestle are completely different environments.”

Shinsuke Nakamura has been with WWE since April of 2016, winning his first big match against Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover: Dallas, and has since moved up to the Smackdown roster.. He's feuded with the likes of Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal in the last year, each with varying degrees of success.
