El Phantasmo: The Last Two Years Of My Career In NJPW Have Been The Drizzling Shits, It All Started Because Of David Finlay

El Phantasmo is ready to right some wrongs.

On the fourteenth night of the NJPW G1 Climax 34, El Phantasmo defeated Hirooki Goto. He will face David Finlay in his final singles match in the block stage. The match will give Phantasmo the chance to score some revenge, as Finlay kicked Phantasmo out of Bullet Club when he took over the group.

In his post-match comments, El Phantasmo looked ahead to his match with David Finlay.

“The leader of Bullet Club, the ‘Rebel King’, the IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion. Some people, they call him David Finlay, but I don’t get to call him that. David Finlay, I have to say I’m David Finlay’s little bitch because for the last two years of my career in New Japan have been the absolute drizzling shits, and it all stems to that one night at Ryogoku, when David Finlay somehow conspired my best friend Ishimori and KENTA to turn on me and kick me out of Bullet Club. What a different timeline we would be living in right now if ELP took control of Bullet Club. But that didn’t happen. That’s never gonna happen. Because while everyone’s G1 stories are just wrapping up, mine is just beginning because on the very last night, it’s ELP, and it’s David Finlay, where I finally have that opportunity to climb to the top of the New Japan Pro-Wrestling ladder, where I finally get myself an opportunity to win singles gold in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and there’s is nobody that’s gonna let that happen. Because Finlay, I am going to beat you within an inch of your life, and I am gonna pin you clean, one, two, three, in the middle of the ring. I don’t want to say the fairytale story of ELP’s rise is gonna start because I don’t believe in fairytales because they’re made up. I believe in fiction, and this next chapter in my autobiography is going to right a hell of a lot of wrongs that all started because of you, David Finlay," Phantasmo said.
