"WWE's Modern-Day Bob Dylan" has big plans in store himself at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
Every Monday night on RAW, fans at home and in attendance are graced by the music of Elias. The "voice" of Monday nights seemingly has a new tune that degrades the city that he is currently in every week. Elias recently spoke with GuitarWorld and stated that he feels no pressure creating new material for his promos on a weekly basis due to him being comfortable creating music and content.
"No, it's not pressure because it's fun to me. I love music, I love creating, so I just get inspired with whatever mood I'm in. Whatever the story dictates, that's where my mind goes. I really enjoy it, it's fun coming up with different songs every week." Elias said.
Although Elias seemingly puts out a hit every week on RAW, he does have hopes that he will one day be able to record music for the WWE.
"Absolutely, I believe WWE—which, if you are not aware, stands for "Walk with Elias"; the company is taking notice of what I'm doing every week and there's absolutely plans in the works to record music, release music, put it out there and give them the sound of Elias that they can take with them. They can have it on their phone, they can have it wherever on whatever music format they have."
In four weeks, the "The Greatest Spectacle in Sports Entertainment" will be live on the WWE Network and Elias has yet to secure himself a spot on the card. Even if its a minor role, Elias feels that if he is not playing his guitar during WrestleMania 34, it would simply be an "injustice".
"Yes, it would be an injustice if Elias was at WrestleMania and not performing in front of millions of people around the world, nearly 70,000 in attendance, it would be an absolute injustice." Elias continued. "I will be performing, it will be an amazing memorable performance, unlike anything you've seen Elias do in the past."
The man formerly known as "The Drifter" has garnered a liking from fans in a way that does not resemble his run in NXT. When Elias is nearing the end of his performances, he asks the crowd "What does WWE stand for?" and they all chant in unison: "Walk With Elias".
"Yeah, absolutely. It's a simple concept: walk with me. The way I see it, the WWE Universe and the world, there are people that walk and people that do not walk yet. It's only a matter of time before the entire world is walking with Elias."
Elias would tell stories about him playing the guitar in front of 20 people outside of NXT live events and how he became interested in instruments. To read more into the musical background of Elias, click here.
