Enzo Amore Released By WWE

Enzo Amore has been released by WWE.

WWE released a one sentence statement on their website this morning regarding the release: "WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore)."

This likely stems from allegations that have come to light over the last 24 hours where a woman on social media accused Arndt of rape. She says that it happened back in October of 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix police confirmed to Fightful that a police report has been filed and they are currently waiting on lab results.

Fightful.com's Sean Ross Sapp has learned WWE was livid about the situation, and while Enzo Amore was aware of what was going on, he didn't bring it to their attention. When the allegations broke out yesterday afternoon, Enzo Amore was immediately suspended by WWE.

Arndt was scheduled to defend the Cruiserweight championship against Cedric Alexander this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, but obviously everything is out the window now. He had been with the WWE since signing a developmental deal in 2012.
