After his appearance in the Miz and Maryse vow renewal, Bischoff returned to WWE SmackDown to give some authoritative advice to Adam Pearce.
The end result was Pearce asking an even higher authority to make a match between Naomi and Sonya Deville.
Speaking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff said about the appearance, "I had a blast. I'm so grateful, at this stage in my life, being able to pop in and re-connect with people I haven't seen in a long time and just be around it. Getting out in front of the crowd, feeling that energy, and being part of it in a small way. It scratches that performer itch in me. However big or small the segment I'm involved in is, I'm just always grateful. Then I get to come home and I don't have to do it again next week."
The big news coming out of WWE SmackDown wasn't that Bischoff was on-screen, but that catering is now referred to 'The Bischoff Position' accordingly to a joking Conrad Thompson.
Conrad posted a photo of Bischoff in catering, leading to the joke.
Bischoff said about his new honor, "I'm a big fan of good food. Funny enough, on my way to Nashville, I'm on the plane and the lady sitting next to me, we started chatting and she's from Portland. I said, 'What do you have going on in Nashville?' She said, 'Oh, I'm catering a WWE event.' 'What do you mean you're catering it?' 'I run the company that is catering WWE in Nashville.' I got all excited and was like, 'can you give me any hints as to what's on the menu?' She gave me some hints and I was all excited and ran into her at the event. I feel very at home in catering. It's a great place to see everyone and reconnect without having to do laps around the arena. I love catering. The food was outstanding."
