Alexxis Falcon discusses Charles Crowley's attempts to find a new partner while she was hurt.
During the six monts that Alexxis was out with her shoulder injury, it forced her partner Charles Crowley to seek out a new tag team partner in PROGRESS, but came up short as partners kept turning on him.
While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Alexxis spoke about Crowley's attempts at finding a new tag team partner while she was out due to her injury.
"Well, I felt a bit betrayed that he was trying different tag partners. So I was like, do you know what? That, serves you right in a way. But like, joking aside, I only wanted the best for Crowley while he was off. It really did feel like even though we lost our PROGESS tag team championships sooner than I would have liked, it really did feel like we were kind of getting back and working our way back to kind of that spot. So when I got injured, I actually messaged him and I was like, 'I feel like I'm letting us down.' and he was like, 'stop being stupid like what what do you mean? Like, you're injured.' and I was like, but now, whatever were the plans for us and whatever was next for Cheeky Little Buggers can't happen. You almost feel as when you're in a tag team, especially with someone that you're so close to, you almost feel like you're costing them money. You're costing them their, like bookings and stuff like that. I struggled with the guilt of it. Like, genuinely, I really did. But he was in Japan when I got here and I just saw him turn into, like, a completely different beast while I was gone.I saw him, I really do think that, I do think we'll hold the Progress Tag Team Championships again. I genuinely do think that. But being away meant that he was forced to be solo everywhere. Even though he was solo in a lot of places, I do think that me and Crowley are solo wrestlers in our own right. I just think he's a star. So that's why when I came back, I was like, I want you to be a star and I want you to show progress and the fans and the people watching and other promotions that you're a star. So, yeah, I don't think that's why, maybe from the guilt, but, in a nice way."
