Alec Price recalls wrestling at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
The People vs. GCW was GCW's second show at the Hammerstein Ballroom, allowing performers like Richard Holliday, Megan Bayne, Kevin Ku, Dominic Garrini, and Brandon Kirk to wrestle at the venue for the first time.
The show also featured a GCW Tag Team Championship win for Alec Price and Cole Radrick. This was Price's second time wrestling at the venue, as he wrestled for AEW just weeks before.
While speaking with Fightful for a new interview, Price talked about both of his visits to the venue, saying that his title win was one of the best moments of his career.
"It was honestly amazing. I’ve wrestled in a lot of historic wrestling venues. I’ve wrestled at Fenway Park. I wrestled at the Durham Arena. Nothing was like Hammerstein. I was there for AEW two weeks before, but I was doing extra work. I appreciate AEW having me and it was a great time, getting to chill in catering and getting the opportunity to work on Rampage, everyone is always good there and everyone was cool. I was there and I didn’t get the same feeling as when I was there for GCW. I was on the card and it was a big deal. Everything that me and Cole had been striving for and working for the past year was finally coming to ahead. The people we got to face were people we had issues with since the start in the locker room. They didn’t like any new tag teams coming in. For them, they felt it was disrespectful to their craft and who they are that a couple of singles wrestlers think, ‘They aren’t going anything over there, they are going to come together and come for our spot?’ They were just gate keeping. Me and Cole were fighting and they used every tactic in the book to get us down. At the end, we came up and we survived. It was awesome. The crowd throwing streamers. Getting to celebrate in the crowd with my brother, it was honestly one of the best moments I’ve had in my career."
