Daniel Bryan Main evented another Smackdown Live, but suffered a scary blow at the end of the match.
Bryan was pinned by Smackdown Live newcomer Mustafa Ali in a tag team match that also featured AJ Styles and Andrade 'Cien' Almas. At the end of the match, Mustafa Ali hit his 054 finisher -- and imploding 450 splash, and dropped his knees across Bryan's throat/collarbone area and ribs. Ali could be heard checking on Bryan immediately.
As reported on the Fightful Wrestling post-show Podcast, Bryan was adamant in saying that he was okay as he went through the curtain, although many backstage feared the worst. Mustafa Ali was said to be very apologetic, even beyond what you heard in the ring. Bryan and the referee of the match were then taken back to the trainer's room to evaluate the incident.

There was a "mad dash" to move on right after the show as WWE had to film another episode of Smackdown Live. Roughly 30 minutes after taking a knee to the neck and ribs, Bryan interrupted an R-Truth and Carmella segment.
