Bobby Lashley is ready to fight again.
Many fans have been speculating on Bobby Lashley's future in the world of MMA, as some believe that he will return to the sport to compete in his first fight since 2016.
Tony Khan appears to be open to the idea of Lashley fighting, stating that he could knock out anybody on the planet during the Full Gear media scrum. While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Lashley praised Khan, saying that he gives stars the opportunity to do whatever they want.
"That's the one thing that I love about Tony. I know a lot of people say great things about him, and I'm gonna throw mine into the hat also. The one thing that he gives you an opportunity to do whatever you want to do. You still have the show and that's still my number one priority, but he gives you an opportunity just to make your star bigger. For me to go out and take another fight, it is beneficial for myself but it's beneficial for the show because it gives my character and who I am a little bit more legitimacy. I love to fight. So I think there's some opportunities to fight. I talk with a boxing promotion. I talk to MMA promotion about possibly doing a fight. While I still can, I'm going to do. So I'm excited. When I got asked that question, I was sitting next to Tony, and I was like, ‘Oh, how am I going to answer this?’ and Tony jumps up and said, ‘He'll knock out anybody.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Well, there's the answer.’"
Lashley went on to say that he thinks he has at least one or two fights left in him.
"Everything is. Everything's on the table, man. When you can't do it anymore, you're going to look back and say, I wish I had. So I don't want to be that person. I do think I have at least one or two more fights left in me and I'd like to be able to do them."
