EC3 talks about getting his "Aunt D" Dixie Carter on OVW television.
EC3 isn't just the face of the NWA. He also has had success in Ohio Valley Wrestling as the OVW National Champion.
Familial ties with former TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter, at least those presented on television, took a young Derrick Bateman and transformed him into Ethan Carter III, now simply known as EC3.
All these years later, EC3 paid it forward as his Aunt D made a special appearance on OVW programming in September 2023.
Speaking about the appearance of Dixie Carter on OVW, EC3 tells Sean Ross Sapp that her appearance was a collaborative effort between himself and Al Snow and reflected on Dixie's perfectionist desires when sending in the video for her appearance.
"Just a simple call to my Aunt D, that’s it. This’ll sound weird, but we tag-teamed her with Al Snow. So Al Snow reached out, then I followed up. Went back and forth and she’s a perfectionist. So she was not satisfied with one of the fifteen takes she sent. She’s like, ‘I don’t think my makeup’s right or my hair’s right.’ I’m like, ‘Aunt D, it’s perfect. You’re excellent. You’re dynamite. You delivered the goods.’ People were happy to see her. I’d love to see her again."
