Exclusive: Stardom's Jamie Hayter Discusses Joining Oedo Tai

Jamie Hayter is making her first trip stateside with Stardom, and is doing it in the country's biggest city this weekend.

The Oedo Tai member will compete during WrestleMania weekend in Queens, as many members of the Stardom roster have their first experiences in North America. For Hayter, she told Fightful she's thankful, but ready.

"It is my first time and I couldn't have imagined a better company to debut in America with than Stardom. I am glad I can be a part of the ride. It means a lot, as of course America is a bucket list place to wrestle, and I'm ticking it off," Hayter said.

Making the transition from the UK to Japan isn't an easy one, but Hayter says that her interest in Japan helped ease things and she's fit right in.

"I feel I adjusted very quickly. I have always had a huge interest in Japanese culture as well as Joshi wrestling, so it goes very hand in hand. I think their culture and ideals are wonderful and I really feel at home when I am there. Even more so than the UK," said Hayter.

Since her debut in Stardom, she's joined Oedo Tai, one of wrestling's most successful stables. The faction has helped increase Jamie's visibility, and looks at it as another great fit -- both professionally and personally.

"I really feel as if Oedo Tai where a perfect group for me to join. Aside from all fo their brilliant wrestling abilities. Their personalities and the way they like to do their thing... perhaps not always following the rules... is very much how I like to live my life. It just seemed right, y'know. And then on my second tour I turned on Bobbi and Kagetsu let me join. I was so happy. And also, getting much more rich now I am with Oedo Tai. What more can you want?," Hayter

While fitting in is something that seems to come natural to Hayter, so is standing out. From one natural transition to the next, Hayter told us her line of thinking when it came to

"Nothing in particular (that I do to stand out with gear)," Hayter told us. "I just think of an idea and draw it and make it come to life. I like to look different from everyone else and with each gear I try something different."
