Dakota Kai and IYO SKY want to add Piper Niven to Damage CTRL.
Damage CTRL has been a three-woman unit since its formation at the 2022 WWE SummerSlam event. However, although Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY have been a force to be reckoned with as a unit in WWE, there is always room for expansion.
During an interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that was recorded during WrestleMania 39 weekend, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL agreed they would love to add the powerful Niven to their ranks.
Fightful: So, I'll ask, if you all could add one person to Damage CTRL that isn't a part of it, who would you add?
IYO SKY: “Piper.”
Dakota Kai: “Yeah. We had the same answer.”
Fightful: “She’s fantastic.”
Dakota Kai: “She’s amazing. She would be such a great addition to have. She’s so strong. Look at her.”
IYO SKY: “She’s our lethal weapon. She will be.”
Fightful: “For a long time, you would see people tweeting, they’re like, ‘Get Piper with Becky.’”
Dakota Kai: “No, no, no.”
Fightful: “Y’all don’t want that?”
IYO SKY: “No, no.”
Fightful: “Well, I’m a Piper fan. She’s wonderful. Every time she sees somebody, she goes, ‘Hello, friend.’”
Dakota Kai: “She does, yeah.”
Fightful: “She’s such a nice person—”
Dakota Kai: “—and her little soft voice.”
Fightful: “Then she gets in the ring, and she just slaughters people.”
IYO SKY: “She’s so smart.”
Fightful: “Oh, she’s brilliant.”
Unfortunately for Dakota and IYO's fantasy booking, Piper Niven was drafted to the Monday Night Raw brand in the 2023 WWE Draft, while the three members of Damage CTRL were all drafted to Friday Night SmackDown.
Dakota Kai is currently sidelined with an ACL injury. No timetable for her return has been given.
