The Hardys recall wrestling in wild places.
In recent years, leagues like UFC and the NFL have tried their hand at global expansion, often holding events or games in countries that they've never visited before. On the other hand, wrestling has been a global product for decades at this point, as thousands of promotions and companies run events across the globe on a weekly or monthly basis.
Fightful recently sat down with The Hardys for a new interview and asked them to talk about the wildest place that they've wrestled before.
“Oh, it's definitely my second run in TNA. We did a little tour in India and the entrance was so bizarre and unreal. It was like a mist machine was spraying mist down like you see it theme parks to cool you off. Like a mist machine, pretty much it was a curtain of mist and they had a projector on that mist and you could see images just like watching a movie on a screen at home and everybody's entrance was on that mist of water. We walked out through the mist water. It was crazy. I wish I had video that because it was so unbelievable. But that for sure in India man I have to say for me. Before I forget, a trip to the troops was huge for me too in Baghdad. I did that three years in a row and that was so cool.” Jeff Hardy said in the interview.
Matt hardy went on to talk about times that he wrestled in Japan, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.
“I think going to Japan for the very first time. That was a big deal to me. I always had dreams and aspirations of going there and it was very cool that I got to wrestle there. Wrestling in Singapore
was a blast. That was a very unique. Wrestling in Saudi Arabia too, was quite the experience at some place I never expected to be at. All those places were pretty significant when I think of places that really jump out or stand out as wrestling in some places pretty spectacular and very different from what you're accustomed to.”
