The senton is one of the more popular moves in all of wrestling, with stars like Jeff Hardy, Kevin Owens, and Samoa Joe all frequently incorporating the move into their moveset.

On the independent scene, Kody Lane is a big advocate of the senton, often using different variations of the move in his matches. While speaking to Fightful Overbooked for a new interview, Lane explained that he wasn't a fan of the move until he saw Chris Hero do it.

"When I started wrestling, I wasn’t a fan of the senton move, and then I saw Chris Hero do them. He would get really high on his jump. I thought it was beautiful and I was like, ‘Wow.’ I didn’t want to emulate it, but he made it look really cool and devastating, so I wanted do that and make it my own. That’s when I started doing it from the outside, doing the top rope one, and all these different variations."

Elsewhere in the interview, Lane revealed that he began his training on a baseball field. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
