On May 13, Matt Brannigan will lock up with Nick Aldis at New Wave Pro Wrestling.
Brannigan is a long-time veteran of the sport who has picked up more steam as of late through appearances on AEW Dark and teaming with Megabyte Ronnie as Hog & Dog.
Among the moves in his arsenal, Brannigan uses the purple nurple to neutralize his opponents.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & SP3 on In The Weeds, Brannigan explained that he's looking forward getting personal with Aldis' nipples.
"I'm not really sure how it came together. I know New Wave always likes to bring in good talent and big names. Originally, I think they were hoping for Scotty 2 Hotty, but he had to cancel. They found a really good replacement last minute in Nick Aldis. I know it's hard to last-minute book things and they pulled it off. I'm not sure what to expect. I was watching Nick Aldis matches last night and I was like, 'Alright, we're going to have an old school crowd working 20-30 minute classic here.'
"I should preface this by saying that I like to do the purple nurple, he has some crazy nipples. It's true. It's all I can think about. I'm excited for that. He's jacked. I'm going to ask him, 'What do you eat? What do you lift? I need to get more jacked. How do you do it?' I'm excited to wrestle him. It'll be a nice change of pace at New Wave. They do more contemporary indie style stuff, so I'm excited for the matchup variety of having a NWA style match with him."
Along with having to watch out for the purple nurple, Aldis will have to be on guard for the potential sack tap from Brannigan.
