Not so fast!
Paul Heyman was removed from his role as Executive Director of WWE Raw earlier this year, before reappearing alongside Roman Reigns. Since the return of both men, they've participated in an acclaimed angle and promos that have seen a more creatively satisfying side of Reigns to many. There might be a good reason for that -- the former ECW Owner Heyman has been contributing.

Fightful has learned that there is more to Paul Heyman's role with Roman Reigns on Smackdown. After a tip from WrestleTalk's Louis Dangoor, Fightful pursued information and had it confirmed that Heyman is heavily influential in the booking of Roman Reigns since his return.
This is considered to be no different than Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Ronda Rousey before Reigns who Heyman also heavily contributed to the booking of. He was also credited for lending to the reveal, the finish of the pay-per-view at Payback, and the promo from Smackdown a couple of weeks ago.
As of now, Heyman isn't a full on member of the creative team. It's worth noting that over two years ago, Fightful uncovered a script that listed Heyman as a contrbuting writer for a Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns brawl, shortly before he was revealed as a member of creative.
