Robert Stone recalls appearing in a Royal Rumble ad.
In 2003, the WWE released a revolutionary war themed commercial to promote that year's Royal Rumble event. The ad featured two different armys duking it out inside of a ring that happened to be in the middle of a battlefield. Notably, Kurt Angle was featured at the end of the ad scoffing at the battle inside of the ring.
As it turns out, Robert Stone did extra work for the ad, as he appeared as one of the soliders in battle. While speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful for a new interview, Stone recalled the appearance, saying it was the first time he ever did extra work for the company.
"I did. Yeah. That was actually the first ever WWE appearance that I made, my first time as an extra was filmed somewhere in New York and Kurt Angle was in the commercial. He was like the leader of the commercial. Maybe, again, 2002 / 2003 was maybe when that was. I was in a few of those throughout the years. If Mark Henry, Matt Morgan, Kofi Kingston, I was in a few also enhancement talent matches throughout my [time]."
