Shayna Baszler looks back on biting Becky Lynch.

Baszler, a two-time NXT Women's Champion, moved to the main roster in 2020; she made her debut on the February 10 episode of WWE Raw, where she memorably bit Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and drew blood. The moment was a gory visual and sparked plenty of buzz.

Speaking with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Baszler reflected on the memorable moment and note that WWE wanted her to do something that would trend on Twitter, She noted that she pitched using her arm stomp, but the company wanted something more extreme.

"They wanted something that would make me trend on Twitter. It worked. I was like, ‘I mean, I have this gnarly arm stomp.’ They were like, ‘No, no, no.’ We want you to be like the Mike Tyson of the division.’ I was like, ‘You think they’re gonna think Mike Tyson after this? Okay. You got it.’ But I trended on Twitter, so who am I to say?" Baszler said.

Baszler then noted that she was doing her job by getting herself to trend on the main roster. She also joked that the bite should be put in her moveset in a WWE 2K game.

"I just came up to main roster. I was doing my job getting myself to trend on Twitter. That’s it. They need to put it in the moveset so you can edit...," Baszler said.

Since her debut, Baszler has won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship three times, and she is a featured member of the women's division.
