Terry Yaki is just getting started in wrestling career, and fans have already seen him on AEW and at GCW events.
Training at WW4A, Yaki is one of many performers who have learned under the guidance of AR Fox, one of the most respected trainers and veterans in the business.
Speaking to Fightful's Stephen Jensen at GCW Into the Light, Yaki discussed what he's learned from Fox.
"I trained under AR Fox. The fucking Fox himself. AR Fox, the GOAT, he's another guy that is so innovative to the point that I feel I learned so much from him because I just picked his brain. I used to watch his matches and ask him why he did certain things in his matches. Everything he did, I tried to emulate but turned into my own," he said.
Fox is a well-traveled veteran who is now receiving flowers from a larger audience after signing with AEW in November 2022.
"AR Fox is a guy that everybody knows. Everybody knew him before he got signed, whether they want to say it or not, everybody knew who Fox was. He just recently got his flowers. He's a guy that has been on top, been on the Indies wrestling all the top guys and the fact that he got his flowers right now is perfect. He was part of the crew that could have been the first guys to go to AEW. Whatever happened, happened, but he's there now and he's definitely on top. He's got a championship around his waist in the future, and it's great to see him there because he deserved and earned it a long time ago. He's wrestling top guys, he's traveled the world, held championships all over. He's the indie darling since the word 'indie darling' came out. I'm glad to see him there," said Yaki.
Yaki recently appeared on the April 4 episode of AEW Dark, teaming with Jay Lucas to face The Varsity Athletes (Ari Daivari & Tony Nese).
