Thekla discusses Maki Itoh.
Thekla is currently a freelancer in Japan, most notably competing in STARDOM, while Maki Itoh has been making a name for herself in TJPW and in excursions to the Untied States, with appearances in GCW and AEW under her belt. The two women have yet to cross paths in the squared circle, but Tekla would like to change that, despite being a big fan of Itoh's.
While speaking to Grapsody's Phil Lindsey and Righteous Reg in an interview ahead of Historic X-Over II, Thekla spoke about Maki, noting that she didn't like the idea of 'talking shit about Itoh', as she is a big fan of 'The Cutest In The World'.
"You know what? You know what? No, Maki Itoh? No, don't talk shit on Maki Itoh. No, no, no, no, that whole thing is is a play on that. She's playing with that. She's obviously that she understands exactly what she's doing and she is she's playing the simps. We're we're in the same team, man. You understand? No, she's really cool, I think. I really like what she's doing. I mean, obviously, she's still the cutest in the world and she's an idol and I'd have to kick her ass, but she is representing that thing in such a cool way. So love goes out to Maki."
Thekla recently competed at Historic X-Over II, teaming with Clark Connors at the event. You can read more about Thekla's thoughts about working with Connors' here.
