Tyler Franks puts over Thom Latimer.
Back in October 2024, Franks faced off against Latimer in a match that was taped for a future episode of NWA Powerrr. In early 2025, that match finally aired, headlining the January 21 edition of the show.
While chopping it up with Jeremy Lambert and Stephen Jensen of Fightful Overbooked's Spotlight podcast, Franks had nothing but praise for Latimer, saying that he's one of the greatest people that he has ever met in the business.
"Thom Latimer is one of the greatest people I’ve met in the business. He said a lot of things that I was very grateful to hear. Growing up, I was a huge fan of TNA. To be able to work with a guy that I watched ten years ago, for me, that was a full circle and cool moment. To hear someone that I look up to, and look at me in a light that I wasn’t familiar with how people looked at me. To get that kind of feedback from guys like him and encouraging words for guys like Billy [Corgan] and other people, that’s something that really lit that fire in me of, ‘Oh man, I do belong.’ That weekend, I showed myself that I can compete with these boys and can compete for world championships. Now, the next goal is to work and show them that not only can I compete in these matches, but I can win these matches. It’s cool to start building to the next goal. Nothing is impossible in this business so shoot for the stars and you can land on the moon."
