Zicky Dice: I Truly Enjoy IMPACT Wrestling, I Love Having Creative Freedom

Zicky Dice looks back on signing with IMPACT Wrestling and says he enjoys working with the company.

Dice previously rose to prominence with the National Wrestling Alliance, where he won the NWA World Television Championship. He left the NWA after his contract expired at the end of 2020, and he also competed on an episode of AEW Dark in June 2021. Dice worked a dark match at an IMPACT Wrestling taping in August 2021 before he signed with the company later that month. He has been a member of the roster ever since, and he continues to compete on IMPACT programming.

Speaking with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Dice discussed how he landed in IMPACT Wrestling. He named Doc Gallows, Petey Williams and Lars Frederiksen as some of the people who helped him get his feet in the door. He stated that Scott D'Amore's offer of a three-year deal sounded "outlandish, and he accepted.

"There’s a few people that had, I guess, their hands in the pot there. When I first moved, I packed up from California, moved over to Atlanta. Got linked up with good ol’ Doc Gallows over there, hanging out with him. He got in Scott’s ear. I did an interview with Petey Williams and Lars Frederiksen, I did their podcast. Lars pulled me aside and we had a conversation and then Petey said something to Scott. Next thing I know I got an e-mail from Scott. He said, ‘Hey, what do you think about coming to IMPACT?’ I said, ‘That would be great.’ He said, ‘How does three years sound?’ I said, ‘That sounds outlandish.’ So we’re there for a little while," Dice said.

Dice went on to emphasize that he's having a good time in IMPACT Wrestling. He noted that he loves having creative freedom and being allowed to work on the independent scene. Dice expressed his gratitude for his opportunities with IMPACT and stated that he couldn't ask for anything else, as he also highlighted the "solid" locker room.

"I truly do enjoy IMPACT Wrestling. I love that I’m able to have some creative freedom. I’m able to work on the indies on the side. I’m working on Zicky Dice’s next Outlandish Paradise and doing some stuff with Twitch on the side. So I’m thankful that I have that opportunity over at IMPACT. We’ve got a solid locker room. Everyone’s been very welcoming and loving. I couldn’t ask for anything else," Dice said.
