Former Seattle Supersonics React To Elias Segment From Raw

Elias generated extended heat on Monday's episode of Raw when he said, "It doesn't make sense. It's like having a basketball team in Seattle."

Renee Young smartly quipped that Elias was disrespecting a legend like Detlef Schrempf with his comment. And Schrempf got wind of the comment thanks to a former teammate.

Excitedly, Young threw her vote in there for a wrestling match.

With Survivor Series coming up next month, what would a Seattle Supersonics five-man squad look like?

Schrempf is on the roster as the team captain, that much is obvious. I'll include Barry as it's obvious that he's invested in this story.

The next two picks seem rather obvious: Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp. The Sonics need a man with a mean streak and an athletic specimen. Payton and Kemp were a force to reckon with in the NBA and, thanks to a lack of Michael Jordan, would have been even more dominant in the squared circle.

The final spot goes to Jack Sikma. You can make a case for Ray Allen and even Kevin Durant. Allen would be the sixth man in my book. Durant doesn't make the cut because he played just one season in Seattle and...just, no. Sikma is the man who brought Seattle their only title so you know he's a winner, has pro wrestling size, and pro wrestling hair.

Throw in Tom Haverford as their manager and we'll see Team WWE in Los Angeles.
