The field continues to thin out in the AEW World Trios Championship tournament.
On the August 26 episode of AEW Rampage, the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) battled the Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds, and 10) in a match to determine who would face the Best Friends in the next round.
The two trios threw everything they had at each other, and both units demonstrated impressive chemistry. The Dark Order double-teamed king, but the big man overpowered them. 10 clotheslined him out of the ring, but Black targeted his wounded knee. Just as the House of Black took control, Miro stormed to the ringside area. He attacked Brody King and Buddy Matthews. Back in the ring, Alex Reynolds capitalized and pinned a distracted Malakai Black to clinch the win and hand the House of Black their first loss.
