Fred Rosser On Potentially Facing Anthony Bowens: I Would Love Him To Scissor Me

Fred Rosser wants Anthony Bowens to scissor him.

The NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion, like Bowens, is a LGBTQ athlete, and they have both advocated for representation within the wrestling industry and beyond. Rosser has been featured on NJPW STRONG, and Bowens is one half of The Acclaimed in AEW, so it's easy to imagine how a Forbidden Door-like crossover would open up the possibility of a match between the two.

Speaking to Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, "Mr. No Days Off" was asked about the potential clash.

“As Vince McMahon would say, ‘never say never in the World Wrestling Entertainment,'" Rosser responded. "That’s my worst Vince McMahon impersonation, but never say never. Anthony, he’s making moves in AEW. I would love him to scissor me, but you’ve got to understand that when he gets in the ring with Mr. No Days Off, I’m a different breed. My style is different. You can’t prepare for me.”

Rosser wasn't part of the card for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, but he'd like to potentially work with AEW at some point. He also made it clear that he wants to wrestle in Japan.

“A bucket list of mine is definitely working in Japan, doing Forbidden Door in Japan and maybe someday working with AEW. I’ve made it public that they said no to me, not once, but twice. And WWE also said no to me over 40 times. I did not take no for an answer, I put my head down and went to work," said Rosser.

NJPW recently announced that Rosser will defend his title against Big Damo at NJPW Music City Mayhem on July 30.
