This might be hard to believe but Gabe Kidd is pissed.
Gabe Kidd is scheduled for the biggest match of his career coming up on January 5 when he faces the returning Kenny Omega at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. However, while he's booked for the major crossover show, he's not currently booked for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom, NJPW's biggest show of the year which takes place the night before Wrestle Dynasty.
AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita is booked to wrestle on January 4 however. Naturally, Gabe Kidd finds this to be idiotic and said as much to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed.
“Once again, another AEW guy is fighting at Wrestle Kingdom instead of me,” said Kidd. “That’s foolish, that’s idiotic. I’m going to beat Oiwa, and I’m focused on him. Then maybe I’ll go find Takeshita.”
Before all of that, Takeshita and Gabe Kidd will be wrestling at NJPW Strong Style Evolved on December 15. Gabe Kidd will be defending the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship on the line against Ryohei Oiwa. Takeshita will be teaming with Jack Perry to take on the team of Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji. The event can be watched on NJPW World or Triller.
