Gabe Sapolsky Shuts Down The Rumors Of Velveteen Dream Having Backstage Heat In WWE

Rumor...OVER

The "Vainglorious" Patrick Clark has been catching the attention of those who have watched him since his reemergence onto the scene as the "Velveteen Dream". Dream's wordplay and actions have garnered him the liking of many WWE/NXT viewers. Come the NXT TakeOver events whenenever the Velveteen Dream is on the card he pulls out ring gear which has some relation to his opponent or has a greater meaning to it as exemplified at TakeOver: Chicago II when Dream squared off against Ricochet and Dream wore tights that resembled the ring gear of Ricochet's Lucha Underground character "Prince Puma".

The Acclaimed Advance To Four-Way AEW Tag Team Title Bout At AEW Full Gear

Last weekend at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, Dream went one-on-one with EC3 and Dream showed off his new flashy tights which read, "Call Me Up Vince" referring to being called up to WWE's main roster. The words on Dream's tights were even addressed by NXT founder and senior producer Triple H and following a picture of Dream's ring gear making the rounds on social media, rumors began to circulate and the topic of those rumors had to do with Velveteen Dream having "backstage heat" in the WWE.

Yesterday, it was announced by EVOLVE that Dream will be competing at their upcoming EVOLVE 112 and 113 events. The booker of EVOLVE, Gabe Sapolsky took to social media recently and responded to a Twitter user's claim that Dream has problems backstage in the WWE. Sapolsky shut down those rumors with a detailed response and added that the only reason that Dream is being brought to EVOLVE is because the promotion wanted him and Dream has deep ties to 'MCW Arena' in Joppa, MD where EVOLVE 112 is taking place and the arena is also where Dream held tag team gold in the 'Maryland Championship Wrestling' promotion alongside current 205 Live star Lio Rush.
