Gage Goldberg comments on his dad, Bill Goldberg, potentially entering the Royal Rumble. He also speaks on the age difference between his dad and Gunther.
Bill Goldberg will definitely have his final match in 2025. His last on-screen confrontation came at WWE Bad Blood when he got in the face of Gunther. While no date, event, or opponent has been named for Goldberg's final match, his son is confident that he's still got it.
When asked by Bill Apter of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge what he thinks about the age difference between Goldberg and Gunther, similar to the age difference between Logan Paul and Mike Tyson, Gage Goldberg simply said that his dad still has it and he can still flip the switch in his head and if he does, it's over for his opponents.
“I know he’s still got it, so. He’s got a little while to prepare, I know he works his butt off in the gym every day. He’s getting his cardio up, I already know that he’s gonna be ready for that fight 100%. I don’t really know if age can be a factor with my dad because he’s just got [points to head], it’s a switch in his head that when it’s flipped, it’s just game over.”
As for Bill Goldberg potentially entering the Royal Rumble in order to earn a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity against Gunther, Gage says his dad hasn't mentioned anything about it, but he thinks his dad would be up for it if called upon.
“Yes sir. I mean he could for sure. He hasn’t told me that yet, but who knows? He’d definitely do it, he’d be down for anything. They tell him, ‘Okay, you’re gonna fight this guy’, he’s gonna do it 100%. Go in the Royal Rumble? He’s gonna do it.”
