GFW Reveals Lashley's Status After Last Night's Backstage Altercation

GFW has been running a story where Lashley is debating whether he'd like to stay with the wrestling promotion or leave the business altogether and go back to MMA full time, joining Dan Lambert and his American Top Team.

Last night on GFW Impact, the story came to a head. Lashley made his decision to leave GFW and asked for his release. Jim Cornette granted it to him, but on one condition, that he go down to the ring and settle his beef with Moose, one on one.

Of course, that didn't happen.

Lashley called Moose to the ring, Moose answered the call, attacked Lashley and the brawl spilled out into the crowd, up onto the stage and back into the ring where American Top Team got involved, turning it into a full on beatdown. Jim Cornette was pissed, and a backstage altercation ensued.

Now, GFW has posted an update to the situation to their website, with a message from Cornette that says:

"Due to the heinous actions of Lashley and American Top Team on IMPACT Thursday night, we have made the decision not to give Bobby his unconditional release from his valid contract. Lashley will be at our disposal when required. That is all.”

So after all that, Lashley remains under contract. You can watch the clips from the storyline below.
