Giovanni Vinci came up short again in a match against Apollo Crews but at least he managed to get the last laugh this time around.
On the September 20th episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Giovanni Vinci lost to Apollo Crews as Apollo rolled him up as a counter to a Powerbomb.
Though he did not lose as quickly as he did on the September 6th episode of WWE SmackDown, Vinci was still embarrassed and decided to get a measure of revenge by attacking Apollo Crews after the bell.

The last time Giovanni Vinci scored a singles win of any kind was ironically against Apollo Crews on an episode of WWE Main Event, which aired on Hulu back on March 21.
The last time that Vinci won a singles match on WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, or WWE NXT was on the July 26, 2022 episode of WWE NXT 2.0 when he defeated Andre Chase.
