Since the news was shared, Shaw has continued to grow in the world of wrestling, as she has became a integral figure in IMPACT Wrestling and the company's knockouts division.

In a new interview with Cultaholic Wrestling, Shaw talked about how she has grown more comfortable in front of crowds since coming out.

“I think just being so much more comfortable going up there in front of a crowd. I felt like I wasn’t really true to myself, let’s say. I was going out there thinking, oh this is how I’m supposed to perform or this is how — it’s so weird because in my mind, I wasn’t really like 100% present in my matches because I’m thinking in the back of my head, oh my gosh, can they tell? What are they saying? Now that I’ve disclosed and told my story to the world, I don’t really care. I'm gonna focus on my matches and have fun, and just be me and be more authentic. I think that’s my biggest takeaway is to just live my life freely and not care about anybody else. It’s just the best thing in the world because not everyone gets that opportunity or the freedom, because we do resort into thinking that this is what society wants me to be, so you act that way, causing you not to be genuine. I hope everybody gets to the point where they go, ‘You know what, to hell with it.’ Whether it’s wrestling or personally, just be you and just be happy.”
